Link Romania Shoebox appeal delivered over 40,000 presents

Posted by Emma

This article relates to a previous story, read here.

You may remember our article about the pledge to fill up and deliver shoe boxes to struggling families in Romania. The Link Romania team visited schools, kindergartens, families, old people, communities living in old container blocks, derelict buildings and many other places. The shoeboxes filled with gifts for all of the family were received with wonder and delight and many questions of why? The experience for the team was humbling and you can read the full gift stop document here

For more information and to start your own appeal – please visit the Link Romania site here

A night with the stars….

Posted by Vikki

The nominees for the Barbon BOSCAs attended a star studded night at Madam Tussauds on Friday where they were treated to a fabulous night of glitz and glamour and the chance to hang out with the Hollywood lovelies (albeit they were wax!)  The night held a variety of entertainment starting off with a private tour, followed by a 4D film experience, a champagne reception and then a three course dinner with live acts from our Barbon’s Got Talent entrants, followed by the Awards ceremony.

We are very pleased to congratulate:

Rachel Elliot of Cadogan Keelan Westall, Winner of Gold Service Medal

A great night was had by all and we can’t wait for next year!

Cadogan Keelan Westall and Keelan Westall received their certificate for their fundraising for Children in Need this morning.

Many thanks were given to individuals within the business who exercised their culinary talents and produced a delicious array of both savoury and sweet treats for the Bordon office. From this alone they managed to raise £110.00.

Cadogan Keelan Westall is proud to sponsor the Essex Property Network

Posted by Emma

The Essex Property Network was established in November 2009 and their mission is to unite and support property investors and landlords throughout Essex.

The group facilitates a platform which enables their members to pursue profitable business ventures, allowing them a share of voice in the Essex property industry and provides an enjoyable environment that enhances relationships between their members.

Our very own Business Development Manager Darren Coldspring sits on the committee and will be attending their event this evening at the Holiday Inn, in Brentwood, Essex. This evening’s event covers the topic of flipping properties without having to own them and features guest speaker Paul Ribbons.

Senior Management Team buys CKW a Christmas pig

Posted by Emma

CKW Christmas Pig

Rather than spend additional hours writing Christmas cards this year Michelle, Rachel and Val bought the CKW team a Christmas pig. Purchased from the good gifts catalogue, a needy family in Africa can now provide for their family and cover school fees. A pole to name the pig went round and the best suggestions to date are Apple Sauce, Scratchings, Truffles or Portia!

Did you know? A pig can produce 20-24 piglets a year, and within two years can produce over 2,500 descendants! (Bacon all round!)

CKW unwrap their Secret Santa presents

Posted by Emma

Festivities filled the office as the team unwrapped their Secret Santa’s this morning. This year they put a twist on their gifts by choosing a theme alongside their names; the categories ranged from, Squeezy, Bouncy, Colourful, Tasty, Fluffy, Strong, Soft, Fruity, Long, Robust, Cubed, Classy, Smelly, Sleepy, Happy, Pleasure, Drink, Read, Play, Pink, Dainty, Crafty, Sporty, Fast, Vibrating, Relaxing & Hairy.

People were creative with their selections; they had a “vibrating” HEX bug, some extreme strength coffee for “strong”, a “Happy” grow your own sunflower and juggling balls for “Bouncy” a good giggle was had by all!

Fundraising Totals

Posted by

Cadogan Keelan Westall have taken part in various activities through out the year to help raise money for Step by Step (add link please) -  2 bake sales, donations, filing cabinet sales, fancy dress and for the brave, a sky dive, have resulted in a total of £1,668.18 being raised.

More money was raised later in the year for Children in Need. Another bake sale was held in November which was a hit with all the team, we had a selection of home-made cakes, sausage rolls and cheese straws made by our very own staff and were all very much appreciated by the team. We raised a grand total of £110.40.

Well done guys.
