Hayley Lott returns to Work - August 2010

Cadogan Keelan Westall is pleased to welcome back Hayley Lott from Maternity Leave following the birth of her beautiful baby girl, weighing in it a whopping 10lb 6oz.

Hayley comments: "The past year has been the best twelve months of my life - the hardest but the most rewarding, although I always knew I would return to work following maternity leave I didn't feel ready to do so until after my daughter's first birthday.

I am extremely fortunate to work for a flexible employer that has agreed to allow me to work part time; this gives me the perfect work/life balance."

Hayley is incredibly keen and focused on her clients and is looking forward to working towards becoming a Senior Account Executive.

Welcome back Hayley!

Head of Broking and Client Services supports local community in a Dragon’s Den style presentation - June 2010

Mill Chase school is planning for it’s future, with the draft proposal for the new school site well underway and the introduction of a new initiative in the form of a Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM) Project.

The aim of the module is to give Year 9 students the opportunity to develop their own design skills and critical judgement, as well as helping to develop an understanding of the relationship of STEM subjects in practice. The project is divided into two halves – with the first being a research phase to increase the student’s understanding of architecture and engineering, the second phase of the project will be to produce a design specification and submit designs for the new school site.

The project will culminate in presentations by the Students to their peers, where a group will be chosen to represent their class in a Dragon’s Den style presentation day. Our very own, property insurance expert, Michelle Richards, will be attending as a Dragon!! In addtion to this the students will also put on an exhibition where parents, Governors and the local community will be invited to attend.

We were provided with a space just outside the main auction room to set up, as well as an advert in the auction brochure. We also had a Barbon branded banner and a selection of free giveaways, advertising Cadogan Keelan Westall.

The main property that was sold was a purpose built office block situated in East Grinstead, the building was sold for over £1 million.

Private Client Manager

“It’s been another busy month in the life of the Private Client manager and our department has had plenty of new business enquiries.  However, it’s still quite difficult to convince some clients that a household policy placed through a broker is more beneficial to them than a direct insurer who offer blanket cover or free contents.  But there are those that have realised that when you have a broker ‘fighting’ your corner it leaves them to get on with living rather than being a slave to the comparison websites.

The phrase you get what you pay for is in no way wearing thin!! I shall keep you updated as there are a couple of new products in the pipeline!”

CKW offers high net worth insurance - July 2008

“Why do I need this specialist policy?”

Many standard insurance policies may not offer sufficient sums for your contents, while others do not cover works of art or antiques.  In addition, it is perfectly normal for standard insurers to limit the amount they will pay out on specific items, including high value jewellery in the event of loss, theft or damage.

You may have a large collection of fine art and/or valuables in comparison to your general contents that should be rated accordingly or an overseas and/or holiday home and you wish cover to be under the same insurance policy or a separate policy on a UK wording.

Rather than take our separate policies to cover your children’s possessions whilst at boarding school or university or employer’s liability insurance for your domestic staff, high net worth household policies include these as standard.
