Session with Andy Phillips at the Essex Property Network

On 10th April, Darren Coldspring attended the Essex Property Network monthly networking event.

The guest speaker this month was Andy Phillips, who runs a number of sucessful marketing companies, the session this month was based on educating companies on how to fully market thier businesses, through the use of online and offline marketing strategies and how the two areas work together hand in hand.

Day out for Nicky P and Stewart

On 23rd February Nicky Prior and Stewart Palmer attended a seminar entitled ‘Business Interruption – aspects of damage claims’ held at the offices of McClure Naismith Solicitors, in London.  Business interruption occurs when you are unable to trade or operate from your premises and in certain situations it is possible to protect your commercial business with an appropriate insurance contract but establishing what cover you need can be difficult.

The day included a presentation from VRS (loss adjusters) and another from a Barrister at McClure Naismith; both gave an overview of Business Interruption claims from their different perspectives. The presentations highlighted the issues around setting indemnity limits, gauging the appropriate type of covers for your business, understanding how these covers operate and the pitfalls we all seek to avoid.  Such opportunities to broaden our knowledge and exchange ideas and experiences with other professionals can prove very beneficial to our clients since it enables us to be better placed to offer advice, guidance and alternatives to our commercial clients.

New Managing Director for Cadogan Keelan Westall

We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Managing Director, Tim Wilson.  Tim joined the company at the start of the month and is settling in well, getting to know the team and planning the rest of the year. 2012 looks to be a good year for Cadogan Keelan Westall.

A night with the stars….

The nominees for the Barbon BOSCAs attended a star studded night at Madam Tussauds on Friday where they were treated to a fabulous night of glitz and glamour and the chance to hang out with the Hollywood lovelies (albeit they were wax!)  The night held a variety of entertainment starting off with a private tour, followed by a 4D film experience, a champagne reception and then a three course dinner with live acts from our Barbon’s Got Talent entrants, followed by the Awards ceremony.
 
We are very pleased to congratulate:
 
Rachel Elliot of Cadogan Keelan Westall, Winner of Gold Service Medal 
 
 
A great night was had by all and we can’t wait for next year!

The Barbon BOSCA’s

Each year in January, Barbon host an evening of awards and recognition for staff that have excelled throughout the year. There are several different categories and each category has one finalist who will attend the evening. Filming begins on Monday for interviews/Manager comments which will be shown at the event.
